Data Types
Our data is available by location with all years or by year with all locations. Please select the type from the below list to download the data.
- Angular/cosine response 3 minute millivolt wavelength data: (UV is 300, 305, 311, 317, 325, 332, and 368, Visible is open, 415, 500, 610, 665, 862 and 940). The cosine responses are derived for each instrument to accommodate for dome irregularities. Measurements are used to derive a single correction factor applicable for a range of solar azimuth and elevation angles.
- In-Situ 3 minute irradiance wavelength data: In situ calibrated UV (300, 305, 311, 317, 325, 332, and 368)/visible ( open, 415, 500, 610, 665, 862 and 940) irradiance is the spectral irradiance in Watts per (square meter per nanometer) measured by a UV-MFRSR/vis-MFRSR using Langley derived calibration factors that have been calculated using clear sky data at the location.
- Erythemal weighted irradiance: (watts per square meter) determined from broadband measurements between 280 to 320 nm wavelengths.
- Photosynthetically Active Radiation: The measurement is of Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD), which has units of quanta (photons) per unit time per unit surface area, which for this sensor is in micromoles per second per square meter between 400 to 700 nm wavelengths.
- Daily Sums: Daily Sums represent an integration over time. By summing the readings over the number of seconds in the measurement period, the units of radiant power are converted to radiant energy and are useful for studying effects related to exposure. Current available values are Caldwell and Flint biological spectral weighting functions, erythemal weighted irradiance, UV-A irradiance, and UV-B irradiance and spectral weighting function Vitamin D.
