picture of Dr. Wei GaoDr. Wei Gao is a Senior Research Scientist and Director of the USDA UV-B Monitoring and Research Program and the Center of Remote Sensing and Modeling for Agricultural Sustainability, Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, Colorado State University. Dr. Gao is also a professor in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability, Warner College of Natural Resources, Colorado State University. His research interests include atmospheric radiation and modeling, remote sensing applications, regional climate/ecosystem modeling, geographic information system, UV radiation and other climate stress factors influences on ecosystems, and impact of climate change. He has published numerous academic papers and edited a dozen of books, scientific proceedings, and journal special issues. He is a fellow of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE). He serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Applied Remote Sensing.
